Thank you for choosing to book a holiday in one of our two cottages. We look forward to welcoming you. Formally, by choosing to book one of the cottages you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read the Upper Finlarig Cottages Booking Terms and Conditions below.

Prices: Together with the full rental, also included is all bed and kitchen linen, as well as electricity in July/August when the rental cost is a little more. Prices are hopefully kept reasonable to allow for electricity costs the rest of the year. We have off-peak water/storage heating which helps with this. In addition, this winter (2022-23, beginning of October-end of March) we shall be passing on  £15 a week to guests from the Government support scheme to help keep the electricity costs down.

Children: Babies and children of all ages are very welcome and a travel cot is available should you need it. Just let us know.

Pets: A dog is very welcome. Please notify us of this and do not allow it onto beds and the furniture. Thank you. There is a £10 charge. There are good, quiet walks close to the cottages.

Cancellation and insurance: By making a booking our agreement becomes a legal contract and the deposit is non-refundable. The balance of the rental is payable six weeks before your holiday. Should your holiday be cancelled less than six weeks before its start date the full amount is non-refundable. We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover the cost of  your holiday being cancelled.

Arrival time: The accommodation is available to you from 4pm on the day of your arrival. Should you arrive early it may not be ready for you as it may still be being cleaned. If you are arriving much later than 4pm please notify us.

Departure time: The accommodation is available to you until 10am on the day of your departure. Please try to be prompt when leaving. This is because we require time to clean it for the guests following after you. If you are leaving particularly early on your day of departure or the night before please let us know.

Damages and breakages: Please do your best to take care when renting the cottages. You are responsible for all breakages and damage while renting out the cottages. If breakages and damage do occur please let us know straight away. If there is a minor breakage we do not normally make a charge, but if the damage is more substantial we may ask you to pay for all repairs. Above all, please let us know. Failure to do so may incur further expenses if we need to pursue the matter.

Liability: We do not accept any liability for any loss, damage or injury to any member of your party, or your vehicle or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves in the course of employment.

Welcome –  Enough of this formal stuff, a very warm welcome awaits you for your holiday in the Cairngorms.
