Grantown on Spey
The cottages are close to all the facilities in Grantown on Spey, including:-

Dulnain Bridge
The village is just down the hill from the cottages and has two hotels and a Post Office. Aviemore is 15 minutes away.
Sporting / Outdoor Facilities
There are numerous sporting facilities in the area providing –

We are close to both Loch Morlich and Loch Insh.
Walking and Wildlife
We put bird feeders out in the gardens. They attract a wide variety of birds and red squirrels. Roedeer and mountain hares are seen in the nearby fields and birds of prey. There are numerous walks straight out of the front door and within a short distance whether hill or forest. We can provide ordnance survey maps of the area. Upper Finlarig is marked.
Locally there are bird watching opportunities which include:-
- R.S.P.B. Osprey Centre at Boat of Garten
- Abernethy Forest
Families
The area is ideal for children.
The Landmark Adventure Centre, the Highland Wildlife Park, the Folk Museum and the Reindeer Centre are all within easy reach.
Winter Sports
The cottages are perfectly situated for winter sports, both skiing and snowboarding, with both the Cairngorm and Lecht slopes nearby.
Other Things To See and Do
Enjoy a day out on the Strathspey Steam Railway from Broomhill Station (one mile from the cottages) to Aviemore. You can also take advantage of one of their dining experiences.
Experience the spectacular views from The Cairngorm summit. Fabulous beaches can also be found at Nairn and Findhorn (30-40 minutes).
Visit Inverness (just 30 minutes) and Loch Ness. Culloden Battlefield is also within easy reach.
